Justice is to do right by others.
Justice is the active rendering of what is right and due to another. It involves achieving the right and good in a state of fairness and harmony. From the parable of The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) and the “Golden Rule” (Matthew 7:12), we are informed that justice involves equitable and ethical actions that often entail intervention. What is due to another is love, sometimes tough love, even a benevolent harshness, but always love. Justice involves seeking wisdom in understanding what it means to be my brother’s keeper and a good neighbor.
